Home Skin Care Treatments

Having clear and beautiful skin is important, if you have clear skin it gives you confidence in your looks. I've gone though many home remedies and picked out 10 that worked for me. Here they are

1.  Bleaching Mask

1 tsp dry fennel
1 cup boiling water
1 tbsp buttermilk

Directions
Add the dry fennel into the boiling water and leave it for at least 1 hour. Strain the herbal material from the water and add the buttermilk to it. Apply directly to your skin and let the mask sit for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Apply the mask 3 or 4 times a week.

2. Skin Lighting Cream

3 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp egg whites

Directions
Heat in a small saucepan over low hear until the mixture thickens. Place it in a jar and place it in the refrigerator until cool. Apply it directly to your skin and allow the mixture to remain for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing. This treatment may be used daily until the desired skin color is achieved, and works
very well to remove a sun tan.  

3. Acne Treatment 

3 tbsp Pure Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp Fresh Water

Directions
Mix the apple cider vinegar and water together. Start off by washing your face and patting it dry, then dip a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it directly to the blemish. Leave it on for 10 minutes or overnight, then wash it off. Apply this 3-5 times a day, washing your face thoroughly each time and remember to apply moisturizer after to keep your skin from getting dry.

4. Skin Conditioning (removing acne, dead skin cells,and extra oil)

2 Orange Peels
 Fresh Water

Directions
Using a blender grind up the orange peels and add the water little by little just so it doesn't become runny, when you reach the right consistency apply it to your face. Wait 20- 25 minutes, until the mask is firm, then rinse your face, pat dry and apply a good moisturizer.

5. Soft skin

2 cups Sugar or Salt (use fine-grained sugar or salt, rather than course-grained)
1/2 cup Olive Oil or Almond Oil
1/4 cup Honey

1 tsp Vanilla or a few drops of your favorite essential oil

Directions
Mix in vanilla extract with the salt or sugar, then add the olive oil and honey. Mix well and scrub your face with it for at least 5 minutes and rinse skin. Pack the remaining mixture in a cosmetic bottle or a jar.

6. Glowing Skin

1 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Tomato Juice/Pulp

Directions
Mix the lemon juice and tomato pulp together and apply it to your face, leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse your face off. Apply moisturizer. Tomatoes are also a skin lighting agent and it also cleans out the extra oils in your skin and opens pores.

7. Fair Skin

1/2 Potato Pulp/Juice

Directions 
Grind half a potato in blender and apply it to your face, leave it for about 15-20 minutes or until it's dry, then rinse off thoroughly with cold water. The result will start to show in a few minutes. This method is good for instant results.

8. Clean and Clear Skin

1 tsp Lemon Juice
2 tsp Baking Powder

Directions
Mix the lemon juice into the baking powder and apply it evenly on your face, leave it until it feels dry *WARNING* LEAVING IT FOR TO LONG WILL RESULT IN PEELING** then use a wet face cloth to remove the mask. Your face will feel clean and fresh.

9. Minimizing Scars

1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Pineapple Juice

Directions
Mix the turmeric powder into the pineapple juice and apply it onto your face and neck in circular motion. Leave it on until it is completely dry. Then wash it of with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy 2 or 3 times a week.

10. Moisturize 

Honey

Directions
Apply honey all over your face and let it dry. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. The water content in the honey will deeply moisturize the skin, making it soft and supple. Do this remedy once a day.



There you have it, these are the 10 home remedies I follow on a daily bases and they have helped me a lot. I had fair skin when I was young but got a really bad tan when I went travelling to Kenya and ever since then the tan has stayed, you can even see the lining around my face. Following these remedies really helped me feel better about my skin, but just by following these won't get you the skin you want, you have to drink plenty of water and be hydrated, also eat healthy. Getting your right amounts of calories and nutrients is important and working out can help your skin stay clear, also you'll be fit. So eat health, workout, drink water, and treat your skin to some of these helpful spa treatments. :)
